For kids & adults
Singapore's trails demand real technique. Coach Fai builds your skills the right way — closed environment first, trails when you're ready.
How MTB Coaching Works
Singapore's mountain bike trails aren't beginner-friendly. Heading to a trail without the right technique is dangerous and demoralising. Coach Fai uses a two-phase approach to make sure you're genuinely ready before you hit the trails.
Phase One
Conducted in a closed environment — a car park or open hardcourt. No trail hazards, full focus on technique. Body positioning, braking control, gear selection, cornering, and obstacle handling — all built on solid ground before you ever see a root or a drop.
Phase Two
Once your fundamentals are solid, you're ready for the real thing. Trail sessions are conducted at Mandai Track 15 or Chestnut Nature Park — two of Singapore's best-maintained mountain bike trails. Minimum 2 hours per session. You bring your own bicycle.
MTB lessons are open to kids and adults with no age ceiling — the prerequisite is that you can already ride a standard bicycle confidently. Sessions are private: either one-on-one with Coach Fai, or a private group of friends and family at the same ability level. Coach Fai will tell you honestly how many sessions you'll likely need — no upsell.
Certified Instructor
Coach Fai holds a PMBIA certification — an internationally recognised mountain bike instructor qualification issued by the Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Association (Canada). It is the standard serious MTB coaches are measured against, covering progressive skills development, trail technique, and risk management. When you book an MTB session with Coach Fai, you are working with a coach who is formally qualified to teach it.
WhatsApp Coach Fai to discuss where you're at and which phase is right for you.
